The Sueng is a lute-type instrument, similar to the Krachapi or Pin of the Northeastern region. It is popularly played in Northern Thailand, particularly in the Salo So Sueng ensemble. Sueng comes in many sizes and types, including the small Sueng, medium Sueng, large Sueng, three-string Sueng, and four-string Sueng.
